Gluten Free Tacos or Taco Bowl

Gluten Free Tacos tend to mostly involve Corn tortillas. Though if you are grain free there are some other options. For instance Siete makes grain free tortillas but they cost around $8.99, which can be too much for most people. A cheaper option however is to do a Taco bowl. Taco bowls can be like a taco salad or you can use some sweet potatoes as your base instead.

Whatever you choose, it’s bound to be tasty! Today I went with corn tortillas for the tacos and sweet potatoes for my taco bowl. Both are great, and you could have one or the other or try both.

Making Tacos more Kid Friendly

Where the kids are concerned you may want to leave out the chili powder completely in the hopes that they will eat it. Otherwise the only thing they may eat is the sour cream! I think my kids think it’s just a more creamy yogurt lol.

More ways to make this more appealing to kids is to have tortilla chips instead of tortillas, cheese and if they like sweet potatoes definitely fry those up for them. My son used to love sweet potatoes and my daughter kind of likes them. Maybe someday they will love them once more? For now I am just thankful for whatever food they do eat. It’s the little things.

Anyway to make this meal as simple as possible you can make the salsa ahead of time or make my fermented salsa a day or so before so you have one thing ready to go. You can also cut up all your vegetables earlier in the day then all you have to do is cook your meat and sweet potatoes if you are using them. Also leave Avocado till you are about to eat as it will brown if prepared to ahead of time.
