Slowcooker Rendered Lard that is Super Easy

A healthy traditional fat that is great for cooking and to add extra fat to your low carb or keto diet.

  •  slowcooker 

Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 lbs  Unrendered pork fat

Instructions
 

  • Roughly chop your pork fat.
  • Process the fat in a food processor or blender.
  • Set your slowcooker to high (may need to do it on low if your slowcooker runs on the high side.
  • Stir every so often and break apart the chunks.
  • When the fat resembles deep fried chicken it is ready to be strained.
  • Strain fat through a coffee filter over a sieve and into a jug or bowl.
  • Store in glass jars. And enjoy some yummy cracklings!
